Please don\u2019t make this harder, when I asked, gently, why the money from selling my apartment<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">had never once appeared in the investment reports Daniel had promised me. That morning, standing at the island, I finally understood what the sentence had always really meant.
